Jessie Magdaleno Vs. Isaac Dogboe: Date, Time, TV And Stream Info, Viewership Competition

Two young, undefeated super bantamweights will battle on Saturday night at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania when WBO champion Jessie Magdaleno (25-0, 18 KO) faces Isaac Dogboe (18-0, 12 KO).

The super bantamweight division is one of the most underrated in the sport with guys like Luis Nery, Rey Vargas, and Diego De La Hoya all sporting undefeated records as well. The Magdaleno-Dogboe bout will take a step toward finding out which fighter is the best at 122 pounds. Magdaleno is just 26 and Dogboe is 23, so the fighters are in or close to their physical prime.

The Magdaleno-Dogboe fight is the main event of a tripleheader on ESPN. Jesse Hart will take on DeMond Nicholson in a 168-pound contest and Bryant Jennings faces Joey Dawejko in a heavyweight bout.

Here is the viewing information for the bout.

The viewership competition will be pretty stiff for the ESPN card. Aside from a smaller, but still nationally televised Premier Boxing Champions card on Fox, featuring Josesito Lopez against Miguel Cruz, the ESPN card also has to contend with an NBA Playoff game (TBD), Bellator 198 featuring Frank Mir vs. Fedor Emelianenko and a marquee regular-season MLB matchup between the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Angels.

The earlier start could help, but by the time Magdaleno and Dogboe climb into the ring, almost every other sports program will be in full swing. Magdaleno and Dogboe aren’t the most recognized fighters in the world and smaller weight-class bias could also hurt the engagement levels. That said, it’s always good to see young and undefeated fighters competing against each other.
