Jessie J says devastating miscarriage was 'saddest and loneliest time of her life'

Jessie J has opened up about her devastating miscarriage, revealing that it was the 'saddest and loneliest time of her life'.

Returning to the stage in the UK this week for an intimate acoustic session, Jessie J spoke publicly and in heartbreaking detail for the first time since her ordeal in November.

She opened up to her fans on stage at Lafayette in central London, saying: "So I was pregnant but not any more.

"I am probably in the happiest place I have ever been, believe it or not. My perspective on life has changed completely."

Jessie J then shared a very poignant and moving moment with the audience, opening up and detailing: "The day it happened a man came up to me in the street.

"I was by myself and crying. He said, ‘I don’t know you and I don’t know what is happening with you right now but I know you should share it with other people’.

"That is why I do what I do. So to anyone who has been through that, or near someone who has, I am so sorry. There is no other way to explain it than just the saddest, loneliest thing.”

Speaking at the intimate show, Jessie said: "No one talks about it enough. What we talk about isn’t what really happens.

"I am grateful I was raised by two incredible people who taught me to find the blessing in the pain. I am grateful for the perspective I have. Every day we just have to live and live harder."

The hitmaker then detailed how one of her sisters flew out to America to support her as she dealt with the heartbreaking miscarriage. She said at the show: "She was with me every day when it was happening. She flew out to LA and I was so high on painkillers. She dropped everything and was there."

Giving her fans a glimmer of hope for new music and material, Jessie spoke of her health and plans to release her sixth album soon.

"The album has been done for a year," she revealed to her fans' delight, before adding: "I just need my throat, and myself and my body and my life, to fix up and look sharp."

Her sixth studio album will feature her latest track Complicated, which names her ex Channing Tatum and gives an insight into her life and career.
