Jessie J’s boyfriend Chanan Safir Colman has revealed the name of their newborn son, a month after his birth.
The singer, 35, took to her Instagram on Sunday to repost a heartfelt announcement from her 39-year-old other half to mark the milestone in which he shared the little one’s moniker: Ben Shelli.
Sharing Colman’s emotional sentiments on her stories, the Who You Are hitmaker wrote: “If you want to know why I fell in love with this man, read the caption. My two,” alongside two crown emojis.
The basketball star posted a black and white photo of him holding their son in his arms, and penned: “So that happened. Tomorrow my young king is one month old. And although my expectations were high, you are everything and more.
“Since you were born, work, food and sleep seem completely irrelevant.
“When you look deep into my soul while taking the biggest shit in my hands I smile, when you pee all over me while I change you I laugh, when you frantically kiss/suck on the side of my face, shoulder or neck looking for your mothers breast my heart smiles, and when you fall asleep on me with your arms wrapped around me I feel complete.”
He continued as he confirmed their son’s name: “Ben Shelli I already love doing life with you.
“Your greatness has absolutely no limitations, and until the end of my days I’ll always protect you, teach you right from wrong, guide you when needed/asked, help you with your homework and find you some one that can teach you how to spell, support you in ups, downs and all of the in between and of course love you unconditionally.
“Love you long time, your Aba.”
The Price Tag singer announced the birth of her son last month after confirming her pregnancy in January.
In an Instagram post earlier this month, the British star said she wanted a pool birth with no medication but ended up undergoing a C-section due to her son being in the wrong position.
She explained: “I knew full well it could and would most likely go in a completely different direction.
“When people asked me ‘So what’s your birth plan?’ I said: ‘I am open to surrendering to the safest way for my baby boy to arrive’.
“I had a scan at a few days off of 40 weeks and he was completely the wrong way around and stuck as he was a little chunkier than your average and long. I did everything to try and turn him for two months but he said ‘Nah mum I wanna make an entrance out the roof, not the front door’.”
While sharing a video on social media of her doing a dance five minutes before her surgery, Jessie said she was “advised to have a planned C-section for the safest birth”.
Adding: “I went into active labour the night before and feeling all the feels but mostly just excitement for us to meet our baby boy.
“I guess I’m sharing this because so many people have said ‘Do you feel like you missed out on the birth you wanted?’
“I had a birth and it was everything I wanted because I got him at the end of it, that’s all that matters.”
