Jessie J opens up about baby plans less than year after devastating miscarriage

Jessie J has opened up about plans to have a baby more than eight months after revealing she had suffered a miscarriage.

The 34-year-old musician this week admitted she had ditched the gym and is readying herself to try and have a baby once more.

Speaking to adorning fans at her recent Camden concert, Jessie reportedly admitted that she “feels great2 as she reflected on her changing body shape.

According to The Sun, the artist said: “This whole celebrity thing is so weird to me and how people are even more obsessed with how I look than I am.

“I have gained weight and I’ve not been to the gym in ages, but honestly, I feel great. I’m not 17 anymore and I want to make a baby and I am trying to do that and my body is changing shape.”

Jessie J’s remarks came eight months after the star revealed she had miscarried ahead of a gig in Los Angeles.

Having previously confirmed her split from boyfriend Max Pham, she was going through the process of having a baby alone at the time.

In November 2021, the singer said that she was “overwhelmed with sadness” after finding out that there was no heartbeat when she attended her third pregnancy scan.

The musician received an outpouring of support as she reflected in a candid post about the pain, while vowing to continue singing to help her process her loss.

“What I do know is that I want to sing tonight. Not because I’m avoiding the grief or the process, but because I know singing tonight will help me,” she said at the time.

In a later social media post, Jessie also explained that losing her baby had also left her feeling immense loneliness.

She wrote on Instagram: “I have never experienced physical pain and trauma or felt loneliness like it. This has changed me forever. In the most, heartbreaking, but beautiful way. It’s put life into perspective in a way nothing else ever has.”
