Jessie J has delighted fans after announcing she welcomed her first child last week. The 35-year-old singer shared a statement with fans on social media as she shared her joy at becoming a mum.
In an emotional post, she said: "A week ago my whole life changed. My son entered this world and my heart grew twice the size. The feeling is indescribable. I am flying in love. He is magic. He is all my dreams come true."
The pop star, who is dating Danish-Israeli basketball player Chanan Safir Colman, continued: "He is my whole world. He and I are both doing great. I am soaking up every second and still can't believe he is real, here and mine.
"I am so grateful phew * happy tears*. For all of you that have followed my journey to this moment, thank you for all your continued love and support." She added: "I will back on Instagram when I'm ready."
This comes after Jessie recently teased fans with the date of her baby's arrival, and said she didn't have long to wait. After being asked how far along her pregnancy she is, the star replied: “I am not sharing my due date but I am clearly not far away, hence why I am so ready."
Jessie announced she was expecting a baby with her sports star partner, 38, back in January, a year after suffering a miscarriage.
Alongside a montage of her baby bump, she shared her excitement on Instagram: "I am so happy and terrified to finally share this… Please be gentle with me. Honestly, ya girl just wants to ugly cry in public in a catsuit eating a chocolate covered pickle with no questions asked.”
