Jessie J has penned an emotional post as she finished her tour and reflected on a serious car crash that almost cut her career short two years ago.

The 34-year-old finished her tour at Brazil’s Rock In Rio festival after playing dates in London, Spain, Portugal, Germany, and New York.

In the now-deleted post, the Price Tag singer told fans she “never thought she would tour again” following the accident in 2020, which caused her lose her voice, suffer bouts of extreme tiredness and pain, as well as tissue and nerve damage.

Sharing her gratitude for her body, the star wrote: “I am grateful to my body and my voice that pulled through all these shows no problems, no issues.

“Tired in moments, but no sickness. After nine months of not being able to sing after a car accident with tissue and nerve damage and then being in pain for so long, I honestly never thought I would tour again.

“I celebrate me in this moment. Giving myself a little pat on the back. I f**king did it. Good night.”

Previously, the Who You Are songstress revealed in an Instagram Q&A that she suffered damage to her neck and ear as well as gastric reflux because of the accident.

She was also diagnosed with Ménière’s disease, a condition that affects your inner ear and can give you vertigo as well as lead to deafness.

Alongside her now-deleted message, the artist shared two motivational quotes on her Instagram Story on Sunday, which urged fans to value the time they have.

It read: “The biggest mistake we make in life is thinking we have time. Be present. Be kind. Love more. Love now.”

While another read: “Today I want you to think about all that you are instead of all that you are not.”

Last month, the musician told fans how she had planned as a teenager to become a mother by the age of 30 and now struggles with the reality that she is still not, nine months after suffering a miscarriage.

Sharing a picture of her when she was 16 alongside a more recent shot, she wrote: “When I was 16 years old I wrote a list of things I wanted by the time I was 30. 1st thing on the list was to be a Mum.

“Now I’m nearly 35 and some days the grief of losing a baby and it not being easy to have one, and wanting my life in that way to look completely different to what it looks like right now just overwhelms me.”

The Essex-born star said that she had decided to bare her soul like this because she knew she wasn’t the only who felt the way that she does and felt it was important to speak about it.

Jessie J - real name Jessica Cornish - announced she had suffered a miscarriage in November 2021 ahead of performing a gig in Los Angeles.

The news came just one month after she split from boyfriend of seven-months Max Pham, with the former The Voice UK judge deciding to turn to a sperm donor to help her achieve her dream of motherhood.
