Jessica Biel has opened up about the ups and downs of her marriage to Justin Timberlake – admitting their relationship is “sometimes devolving” in a candid Instagram tribute marking the singer’s 44th birthday.
The 42-year-old actress shared a heartfelt post to her husband, after he has been hit by scandals including a DUI arrest, saying: “Another year to make memories that I keep sacred in my heart.
“Another year of joy and challenges being a parent with you. Another year together being curious and creative in the world.”
She continued: “Another year growing and evolving and sometimes devolving, with you. Another year laughing about it all. Happy birthday my love.”
Justin, who turned 44 on 31 January, responded in the comments, writing: “I love you so much!!!”
Jessica, who rose to fame on ‘7th Heaven’, has been married to the singer since 2012, with the couple having two sons – Silas, 9, and four-year-old Phineas.
Her public declaration comes months after reports surfaced she was “not happy” about Justin’s June 2024 arrest for driving while under the influence in the Hamptons.
At the time, People reported the singer had done “everything he (could)” to “make up” for the incident with his wife.
In September, he pleaded guilty to an impaired driving charge, issuing a court-mandated apology outside the courthouse.
Even before his arrest, Jessica had acknowledged their marriage required constant effort.
Speaking on ‘The View’ in May 2024 she said: “It’s constantly trying to find the balance, trying to find the time we can connect.”
Justin has faced scrutiny over his personal life in the past.
In 2019, The Sun published photos of him holding hands with his ‘Palmer’ co-star Alisha Wainwright during a night out in New York.
He later apologised for his “strong lapse in judgment” but insisted “nothing happened”.
Despite the controversies, he and Jessica have stayed together and a source recently told People the pair are “committed to staying married” and Jessica considers him “a wonderful dad”.
