Jessica Alves doesn't want to be called Human Barbie after transitioning

Celebrity Big Brother star Jessica Alves says she doesn't want to be called the Human Barbie after undergoing gender reassignment surgery.

Jessica first rose to fame after spending more than £600,000 on cosmetic surgery, and was formerly known as the Human Ken Doll.

But the 37-year-old says she hopes the nickname doesn't follow her after having the six-hour surgery in Bangkok.

"I hated the Ken Doll nickname," Jessica tells new magazine. " I think it came about when I was totally overdone. I hope people don't call me Barbie."

Jessica said she felt trapped and depressed when known as her birth name Rodrigo, admitting: "I was in a very bad place."

She said the decision to transition came only after she sought help from a psychiatrist, who diagnosed her as suffering from gender dysmorphia.

It was then that Jessica came out as a transgender woman, using a name she had previously been given on a photoshoot about gender fluidity.

"I thought it was a name that suited me and went well with any language," she explained.

After announcing her plan to transition in September 2019, Jessica then underwent a series of ops to feminise her appearance.

The Brazilian-born telly star had breast implants, her Adam's apple removed, and her chin and jawline shaved.

After counselling, she then flew to Thailand for her full gender reassignment surgery, where doctors created "a beautiful vagina".

Jessica, seen on Instagram, said her latest surgery was not as painful as having her ribs removed (Instagram)

Tissue was taken from the lining of her abdominals in order to create her vagina.

But despite the intimate nature of the £13,700 surgery, Jessica says the complex procedure last month was not the most painful of her many varied operations.

She explained that others had been worse.

Jessica said: "When I had my nose job , it was so uncomfortable because I couldn't breathe. Also when I had my ribs removed, it was absolute agony."
