New England Patriots coach Jerod Mayo indicated that Drake Maye is going to be in line for a bigger workload at next Tuesday’s training camp practice against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Maye only played in the opening series of Thursday night’s win against the Carolina Panthers. He went 2-of-3 passing for 19 yards in his NFL debut. The majority of the reps were taken by Bailey Zappe and Joe Milton III.
One of the more notable plays that Maye had on Thursday was his first NFL completion to running back Antonio Gibson.

There is no word on how much Maye will play in the actual preseason game scheduled for Thursday, August 15. It’s still good to know his reps will increase against a talented Eagles team next week.
Milton wowed fans in the preseason opener, and now, it’ll be Maye’s chance to do the same.
