Jeremy Renner's 'chest collapsed' in horror accident, emergency call reveals

Jeremy Renner lost a huge amount of blood after his chest collapsed in the horror accident involving a snow plough, the emergency call from the incident has revealed.

The Marvel star, 51, is believed to have been helping a family member free their car from the heavy snow from a storm when the accident happened.

It's said he had stepped out of his snow plough to talk to the person when the Snowcat vehicle began to roll. Officials have said Jeremy had tried to get back in the driver's seat when he was crushed.

Now, in 911 calls from the incident, the true extent of his injuries which left him in intensive care have been confirmed.

In the log for the call, published by TMZ, it's stated that the right side of the actor's chest and his upper torso were crushed. It explained how the star was "completely crushed' and was having "extreme difficulty" breathing.

Jeremy's representatives have been regularly updating his fans of his condition and revealed he had to undergo two surgeries for his injuries, including blunt chest trauma. They said at the time he was in a "critical but stable condition".

The Hawkeye star has since took to Instagram to offer an update of his own, telling his 19m followers he was "too messed up now to type" as she shared a selfie of his bruised face in a hospital bed.

Famous pals flocked to the post with messages of support, including fellow Marvel actor Chris Hemsworth, who wrote: "Speedy recovery buddy. Sending love your way!"

Away from his acting family, Jeremy received further messages from stars including DJ Steve Aoki, who wrote: "Brother u r a superhero to all of us. U will get through this with flying colors. Love and positive energy to u!"

TV host Jimmy Fallon also said: "Lotsa love out there for you bud."

On Wednesday, the actor's sister gave an emotional statement to say the family was "delighted" with the progress he's been making.

"We are so thrilled with his progress," she said. "If anyone knows Jeremy, he is a fighter and doesn’t mess around. He is crushing all the progress goals. We couldn’t feel more positive about the road ahead."
