Jeremy Renner has revealed he is refusing to be "haunted" by the memory of his horror snow plow accident that left him with more than 30 broken bones.
The Avengers star, 52, feared he was going to die a "horrible death" after he was left fighting for his life following being crushed by his 14,330lb snow plough on New Year's Day.
The actor was airlifted to hospital where he also suffered a collapsed lung and his pierced liver following the accident.
Hawkeye actor Jeremy has now recounted the horrifying moment in an emotional interview and cited his nephew for saving his life.
"I shifted the narrative of it being victimized or making a mistake or anything else," he admitted to ABC as he says he wants to move forward.
"I refuse to be f****** haunted by that memory that way."
Jeremy had been using his snow plow to try to help his nephew Alexander Fries, pull his car out of deep snow.
The actor jumped out, forgetting to put on the emergency brake and so the plow started barreling towards his nephew.
Renner is believed to have tried to get back into the snowplow while it was moving in in an effort to bring it to a halt, but resulted in him being crushed.
Despite his extensive injuries, Jeremy bravely admitted in the interview trailer: "I'd do it again. Because it [the snowplough] was going right at my nephew."
Following the crash, the actor was so convinced he would die that he began frantically writing down notes on his phone for his family members.
"So I'm writing down notes on my phone, and last words to my family," he said holding back tears whilst recounting the incident to US broadcaster Diane Sawyer.
The Marvel star, 52, said a "thank you will never be enough to express my gratitude" to those who helped save him after Jeremy insisted he is still alive now thanks to the "immediate actions" of multiple people.
