Jeremy Kyle returns to TV with Sharon Osbourne after show was axed three years ago

Jeremy Kyle returned to TV screens alongside Sharon Osbourne on new channel TalkTV on Monday evening, almost three years after ITV ’s The Jeremy Kyle Show was axed in 2019.

The divisive broadcaster, 56, joined Sharon for her new show The Talk alongside commentators JJ Anisiobi and Esther Krakue and actress Nicola Thorp.

The panel discussed stories ranging from Elon Musk’s bid to buy Twitter for more than £34 billion, the Angela Rayner sexism row and “the woke world of Disney” as well as the Royal Family.

In her opening comments, Sharon said: “It's great to be back on your screens and even greater to be employed.

“It's our first show tonight and it's going to be fabulous, isn't it darling?”

“Completely fabulous Mrs O. Delighted to have you on. Welcome back to the country.” (TalkTV)

Jeremy replied: “Completely fabulous Mrs O. Delighted to have you on. Welcome back to the country.”

Earlier on the new TV channel, Piers Morgan launched his new show Piers Morgan Uncensored with the first in a two-part interview with former US President Donald Trump.

Piers is heading up the flagship show on the brand new TV channel TalkTV as part of a rumoured £50 million three-year deal.

Ahead of TalkTV airing the interview clip, Piers launched into a blistering opening monologue lambasting "cancel culture".

Peppered through the initial comments were a series of barbs directed at Harry and Meghan.

Piers first referred to common sense and truth, saying: "That's the truth, by the way, not your truth. Definitely not Princess Pinocchio's truth," at which point a picture of Meghan flashed on the screen with an elongated nose superimposed on her face.

Later Piers continued to lambast "hypocrite celebrities", who are "pontificating about equality from their massive mansions and constantly preaching one thing while doing the complete opposite themselves".

He then added: "I think you know the type - right, your Royal Highness?" as a picture of Prince Harry smiling appeared on screen.

NewsUK has now confirmed Jeremy, 56, will make a return to TV (ITV)

Jeremy Kyle’s return to TV comes after the explosive Channel 4 documentary Death on Daytime, which saw former staff members of The Jeremy Kyle Show anonymously allege toxic backstage behaviour.

Channel 4’s Death on Daytime documentary saw former employees of The Jeremy Kyle Show claim that the ITV programme gave its host a “god complex” and that he was “incredibly nasty and demeaning”.

From claims of bear-baiting to lies, some have even claimed that they felt "brainwashed" while working on the show.

The show ran for 14 years until ITV axed it following the death of guest Steve Dymond, who had failed a lie detector test on the show.

Jeremy addressed the two-part Channel 4 documentary on the radio, saying he would not speak about his guest's death until all legal proceedings are complete.

He told listeners: “Let's just deal with the elephant in the room straight away…I have maintained a consistent approach over the last three years.

“I have said that I will not comment on the tragic death of Steve Dymond until the legal process has finished and that is a position I will maintain.

“When - and trust me, there will be a time after the inquest, when it is right and proper for me to have my say, because there are of course two sides to every single story - I will do it here and I will do it to you, and that is the most important thing.”

He added: “With the greatest of respect, I wanted to say that.”
