Jeremy Clarkson demands fans watch 'best TV show in years' - but admits it's not one of his

Jeremy Clarkson has praised a Sky TV drama, admitting that it's the "best" he's seen in several years.

The Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? presenter took to social media and admitted that a gangster drama about a London family had swiftly become his favourite programme.

Clarkson, 63, is no stranger when it comes to saying what's really on his mind and his social media followers often see his famous outbursts but his latest seems to be more positive.

Now, his 8 million Twitter followers have been advised on what they should be watching to get their daily dosage of television.

The Doncaster-born broadcaster exclaimed: "Just seen the best TV show in years – A Town Called Malice.

"You must watch this weekend on Sky – it's f**king brilliant!"

His post which has racked up over 11,200 likes was soon flooded with replies, with one follower responding: "Isn't it just!! I had to take a break when I was on episode four as so much going on twists and turns!! Not predictable at all !! You have to watch it no snoozing."

"Just finished it, bloody brilliant and the music is fantastic," commented another.

While a third penned: "Watched it a few weeks ago and the best bit of telly for ages. The Soundtrack is immense."

"Watched it after your tweet it was brilliant can't wait for next series hopefully," added another

However, some disagreed with one writing: "Think you will find Clarkson's Farm is the best tv show in years."

Meanwhile, a second joked: "@JeremyClarkson just catching up on this old bloke doing a farming show. Pretty f**king good to be fair."

His favourite appears to be A Town Called Malice (SKY UK)

"I very much doubt it is better than my current favourite: Clarkson’s Farm. #clarksonsfarm," said a third.

A Town Called Malice follows the fictional Lord family from London who had previously ruled the southeast of the capital but now faced competition from other criminal gangs.

Gene (Jack Rowan), the youngest member of the family is often overlooked and neglected by his relatives who fail to acknowledge his intelligence as well as killer instincts.

Despite this, he narrowly avoids a gangland battle which leads him and his fiancée Cindy (Tahirah Sharif) to flee to the Costa del Sol to get out of harm's way.

The series is created by Nick Love and is set in the 1980s and features none other than Paul Weller who has a cameo role in episode one as a customer in the Black Dog pub.
