Jeremie Frimpong breaks silence on Manchester United link as Celtic remain on windfall alert

Jeremie Frimpong has broken his silence on his future amid swirling links to Manchester United.

The former Celtic defender is reportedly high on the agenda of the Premier League side ahead of what could be a big move in the summer. Frimpong sealed his exit from Parkhead after a largely successful spell in Glasgow, with the Hoops making an incredible profit on their £350,000 fee to Manchester City for the defender's services. New club Bayer Leverkusen paid around £12million for Frimpong.

It is believed the Scottish champions also have a sizeable sell-on clause that a big bid from Erik Ten Hag's men could land a decent cash injection. Reports in Germany suggested Leverkusen would look for around £50million for the 22-year-old Dutchman who still has a contract until 2025.
