2FM presenter Jennifer Zamparelli has admitted that she would tell her children about her previous engagement before she met their father.
Jennifer has previously described her engagement at 21 as “the worst decision of my life”.
On her eponymous morning show today entertainment reporter Lottie Ryan quizzed her as to whether she would disclose that part of her past to her kids - Florence, five and Enzo, two - and she admitted: "Yes. Yeah. Well, it depends on how old they were. I am sure it would pop up...”
When Lottie pointed out that it would definitely pop up, because they can Google her and she has spoken about it publicly, the popular presenter said:
“This is true, This is true. And I was so young and I would talk about the perils of getting involved and getting engaged at 19, 21.”
Earlier this month she discussed that relationship with RSVP, saying: "I was heartbroken when it didn’t work out, obviously, but thank God it didn’t.
"All of my family and friends knew that he wasn’t the one for me. I think I was more so infatuated with him rather than in love with him. You have to go through those relationships that teach us about life."
Jennifer appears to have made the right decision as when she appeared on series four of BBC’s The Apprentice, her ex fiancee sold stories about her to the press.
She met her Bristol-born husband Lau, a stuntman and stunt coordinator, several years later and says: "I was in my 30s when I met Lau.
"He was the polar opposite of the guy I'd been with, and good for me in every way.
"He was such a positive influence and I look back, and think of being engaged at 21, and just shiver about what a lucky escape I had."
Jennifer and Lau were married in a stunning summer wedding in Monaghan's Castle Leslie.
The Jennifer Zamparelli Show is on 2FM weekdays from 9am-12pm
