Jennifer Lopez wears “something old” to marry Ben Affleck in Las Vegas

When Ben Affleck proposed to Jennifer Lopez for a second time back in April (they were engaged 20 years ago but never married) with a ring reportedly worth $5-10million, some might have expected their wedding to have been an outlandishly glamorous affair – with mega dresses to match.

But on Sunday JLo revealed the details of her low-key Las Vegas nuptials to Affleck in her On the J Lo newsletter, revealing that she wore two dresses she already owned to finally marry her beau in “the best possible wedding we could have imagined. One we dreamed of long ago and one made real (in the eyes of the state, Las Vegas, a pink convertible and one another) at very, very long last."

The first dress was something old; a simple, boatneck white cotton maxi dress with nipped waist and full skirt.

"I’ve had this dress for so many years, and I’ve just been saving it, saving it, saving it, and now I’m wearing it on my wedding day," Lopez, 52, says in a clip posted on Instagram by her hairstylist Chris Appleton who captioned it: "Last minute feelings before the wedding."

Wearing bronze, glowy makeup, nude lip gloss and a smoky eye with beautiful bouncing shiny locks in a half up-do, Lopez then changed into a glamorous lace Zuhair Murad bridal gown in which to exchange her “I Dos”. The gown was made from white lace and came in an off-the-shoulder design with long sleeves, a sweetheart neckline, corset bodice and fishtail train. She added a matching lace veil to complete the look.

The pop star recently wore another Zuhair Murad wedding gown in the 2022 movie Marry Me, but this one was a slightly different design. See the dress JLo wore in more detail below.

Affleck meanwhile looked dapper in a white tuxedo jacket he had pulled from his closet.

"We did it,” said Lopez in the newsletter. “Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient.”
