Jennifer Lopez tell-all documentary Halftime comes to Netflix - when it's on and what to expect

Singer and actor Jennifer Lopez has just dropped the trailer of her upcoming documentary Halftime, set to be released on Netflix this year. So what can we expect from the show?

The official trailer of Halftime is available to watch on Netflix and the platforms YouTube channel and it highlights what viewers will find out about J-Lo from the documentary. The 52-year-old started out as an actor and then later launched her music career in 1999.

Lopez was also a regular judge on American Idol as she served for five seasons. The Marry Me actor also confirmed her engagement to fellow actor and former flame, Ben Affleck, earlier this year.

What to expect from Jennifer Lopez 'Halftime'

Halftime will explore several iconic moments through Jennifer Lopez' career - most notably her performance at the 2020 Superbowl halftime show. The trailer opens with Lopez' words "part of being a great performer is being aware", while behind the scenes clips show her rehearsing for music performances.

The trailer also sheds light on several headline stories over the years, with terms such as 'diva' and 'serial bride' being used to describe the pop star. Footage from these throwback interviews is also used in the trailer, which hints at the reflective sense that viewers can expect from the documentary.

Speaking about Halftime, in an interview with The New York Times, Lopez shared that the documentary will also highlight the year that she turned 50. "Everything I had worked for in movies, music and fashion just started happening", the Waiting For Tonight singer said.
