Jennifer Lopez, Rochelle Humes and Rita Ora sun themselves on European holidays

Celebrities have not risked a wash-out UK staycation, with a number of famous faces currently on holiday in sunnier climes.

British presenters Marvin and Rochelle Humes and their children are enjoying the sunny weather in Ibiza, posting about their fabulous family holiday on their social media pages.

Singer and presenter Rochelle wrote under a series of pictures of the couple enjoying themselves and spending down time with their children: “File this under PURE JOY.”

Meanwhile, her husband Marvin took the opportunity to pay tribute to his wife, writing: “Luckiest man in the world” under a picture of the couple – who have been married for 11 years – on a boat.

Love Island presenter Maya Jama and singer Rita Ora are also in the White Isle.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez, 54, is currently in Italy, posting pictures to her Instagram of her enjoying the beach and the local cuisine.

Under a series of pictures of her at a restaurant, J-Lo wrote: “Spaghetti ravioli.”

Meanwhile, Nicole Scherzinger, Demi Moore and Kylie Jenner also posted sunny holiday pictures online from a variety of mystery locations in Europe.

Jenner, who has just turned 26, wrote: “Summer all year long pleaaaase.”

Moore, 60, added: “Paradise. Basking in the sun, playing in the water, naps with furry friends, and a good book…”

July saw extreme weather conditions in various places across Europe.

Severe heatwaves baked southern Europe while raging wildfires forced the evacuation of thousands of residents and tourists from several Greek islands.

July has been confirmed as the hottest month on record, the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) has said.

It beat the previous one set in 2019 by 0.33C – a substantial margin by the standards of temperature records – reaching 16.95C.

Meanwhile, temperatures could hit 30C in parts of the UK this week after heavy rain drenched the country.

A yellow rain warning is in place for northern England and Wales on Monday, with risks of flooding and disruption to infrastructure and transport.

However, once the rain subsides, temperatures are set to soar in parts of the country, with southern England reaching 30C by the weekend.
