Jennifer Lopez appeared to be getting into character with a series of dramatic facial expressions on the set of her latest film Hustlers.
The actress was photographed pulling a sequence of funny faces as she drank a glass of wine while filming scenes on location in New York alongside Riverdale’s Lili Reinhart.
In one shot, the 49-year-old pouted as she played with her long hair, while another showed Lopez placing her hands on her forehand, apparently in annoyance.
Lopez, who stars as a stripper named Ramona in the forthcoming movie, also stuck her tongue out in concentration while reaching for her wine glass.
Directed by Lorene Scafaria, Hustlers is based on a New York Magazine article published in 2015, titled The Hustlers at Scores.
It will follow the ‘Robin Hood’ story of a group of strippers who steal from their wealthy Wall Street clients.
Lopez will star alongside Reinhart, Crazy Rich Asians’ Constance Wu, 10 Things I Hate About You’s Julia Stiles and rapper Cardi B, who is set to make her feature film debut.
Musician Lizzo will reportedly also make her first screen appearance in the movie, according to Deadline.
Scafaria has described the project as “an empathetic look at gender roles and value”.
“Men have been told they’re worth the size of their bank accounts,” she told Deadline. “Women have been told they’re worth the symmetry of their faces, their bodies, their beauty and that’s what this film is based on.
“The rules of the club are the rules of the world.”
Earlier this year, Lopez showed off her pole dancing skills while preparing for the role in a video posted by fiancé Alex Rodriguez.
