Jennifer Lawrence has opened up about being a parent with notoriously private husband Cooke Maroney, calling him “the greatest father in the entire world”.
The Oscar-winning actress, 32, and her art dealer husband , 38, are proud parents to 16-month old son Cy, who they welcomed in 2022.
His arrival came three years after they tied the knot in an intimate wedding at the Belcourt of Newport mansion in Rhode Island with guests including Lawrence’s best friend, Adele.
Lawrence, whose latest movie No Hard Feelings is released in cinemas from Friday, said Maroney enabled her to work without worrying too much about being away from their little boy.
“Fortunately, my husband is the greatest father in the entire world,” Lawrence told People magazine. “So when I’m working, I don’t have any more guilt than the usual every day, all-day parent guilt.”
The Hunger Games star also revealed that since becoming a mother, she has become a lot more selective when it comes to the roles that she takes.
“There’s no squeezing when you have a baby,” Lawrence explained to the publication. “It definitely helps weed out projects: ‘Yes. No. Yes. No. Yes. No. Is this worth being away from my child for half the day?’”
