Director Shawn Levy recently shared insights on how Jennifer Garner's Ben Affleck joke in the movie 'Deadpool & Wolverine' came to fruition. Levy revealed that the joke was not vetted by Affleck himself but was approved by Garner, who portrayed Elektra in the film. In the scene, Ryan Reynolds' character offers condolences to Elektra over the death of Daredevil, played by Affleck, to which Garner's character nonchalantly responds, 'It's fine.'
Levy clarified that while the joke was not pre-approved by Affleck, he later spoke with him for permission to include a tribute reel in the end credits of the movie. Garner and Affleck, who met on the set of 'Daredevil' in 2003, were married for several years and share three children before finalizing their divorce in 2018.
Affleck has since moved on with Jennifer Lopez, reigniting their romance in 2021. Recent reports suggest that Lopez is feeling upset over rumors of their separation. On the other hand, Garner has been in an on-and-off relationship with John Miller since 2018.
Garner showcased her intense training regimen for 'Deadpool & Wolverine' on Instagram, highlighting her dedication to the role. The video shared by the 'Alias' star featured her engaging in various physical activities, emphasizing her commitment to getting in shape for the Marvel movie.
