Jennifer Aniston says the 'ship has sailed' after failed IVF attempts

Jennifer Aniston has said the 'ship has sailed' when it comes to her becoming pregnant after failed IVF attempts.

The actress has opened up about how she spent years trying everything to get pregnant but struggled.

She mentioned that she wishes someone has told her to freeze her eggs which she said would have done herself a 'favour'.

The friends star 'it was really' hard when she was going through IVF and 'drinking Chinese teas'.

Jennifer said she was 'throwing everything at it'.

She said: "All the years and years and years of speculation... It was really hard. I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it.

"I was throwing everything at it. I would’ve given anything if someone had said to me, 'Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favor.' You just don’t think it. So here I am today. The ship has sailed," she told Allure magazine.

The star also talked about how she was criticised by the public when rumours emerged that her marriage with Brad Pitt ended because she didn't want children.

However, Jennifer has put this rumour to bed as she said she 'just cared about my career' and that 'it was absolute lies'.

The 53-year-old said that she found her 30s and 40s difficult in particular.

Jennifer said: "I would say my late 30s, 40s, I’d gone through really hard s***, and if it wasn’t for going through that, I would’ve never become who I was meant to be."

She explained that she now has 'gratitude' for the hard times she went through.

The interview comes after Jennifer was spotted out for dinner with her ex-husband Justin Theroux four years after they split.

The dinner sparked rumours that the pair could be getting back together last month.

They were seen out with a selection of celebrity pals including Howard Stern, his wife Beth, Jason Bateman, Jon Hamm and Jimmy Kimmel, as they sat down to enjoy a lavish meal at Laser Wolf in Brooklyn, New York City.

Jen and Justin tied the knot at a private ceremony on August 5, 2015.

The understated wedding, which took place at the couple's Bel Air home, saw a handful of friends and family watch the love birds say their vows.

Their marriage came after a three-year engagement.

However, just over two years later they parted ways amid reportedly amicable circumstances that saw them remain friends.

A day after Valentine's Day in 2018, Jen and Justin broke some hearts by confirming their split officially.
