Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon celebrated the fruits of their labour last night at the premiere of their new Apple TV show The Morning Show. The series, which the actresses both starred in and produced, saw the pair step out at the Lincoln Centre in black dresses alongside stars such as Emmy Rossum, Ashley Graham and Naomi Watts.
Aniston and Witherspoon previously starred as sisters in the hit sitcom Friends. In The Morning Show, they play colleagues at a news network struggling to find its feet after one of its lead anchors (played by Steve Carrell) is fired in a sexual misconduct scandal.
Aniston arrived at the New York premiere wearing a sophisticated black column dress with dangling earrings.
The star, who recently joined Instagram and broke Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s record for the most number of followers in a 24 hour period, shared an Instagram story of herself and Witherspoon posing on the red carpet as Aniston leaned her head on her shoulder.
Witherspoon also opted for a black dress, choosing a sparkly one by Celine which featured a golden band at the bust. Paired with unusual black and crystal earrings by Taffin, her hair was pin straight for the night and the look was finished off a smoke eye beauty look.
The Legally Blonde actress shared behind the scenes clips of her glam process on her Instagram stories, which saw her beauty team transform her as she sat in her pyjamas and cracked open a bottle of champagne.
Co-star Steve Carrell was not there to join them on the night but Shameless star Emmy Rossum made a major statement in a double-breasted pastel pink suit and a slicked-back hair look as she walked down the black carpet in mauve velvet shoes.
She committed to her all over pink look with striking bubblegum eyeshadow.
Naomi Watts celebrated the launch of the show in a demure white floral tea dress, carrying a pink box clutch and pointed heels matched to the same hue.
A heavily pregnant Ashley Graham also took notes from Aniston and Witherspoon’s all-black dress code, wearing a turtleneck dress and heels as she held onto her baby bump. Over the weekend, Graham celebrated Halloween by dressing up as cartoon character Jessica Rabbit in a latex red dress and purple gloves - joking on Instagram that “Macho Man knocked up Jessica Rabbit for Halloween”.
Bel Powley, who stars as Claire Conway on The Morning Show, also attended wearing a porcelain-inspired blue and white tiered dress.
Others to attend included Apple CEO Tim Cook, Harry Connick Jr, Sex and the City writer Candace Bushnell, Amy Sedaris and Wendy Williams.
The Morning Show is set to launch on November 1 and will be available exclusively on Apple TV+.
