Kim stated that the aircraft involved in the accident had shown no signs of issues prior to the incident. He emphasized that it is currently challenging to determine the cause of the crash and mentioned the necessity of awaiting the official investigation report from the relevant government agency.
Kim further mentioned that the aircraft had no history of accidents, indicating that this incident was unexpected. Expressing his deepest condolences, he extended sympathies to the families of the victims who lost their lives in the crash. Most of the affected families are from Muan county, nearby Gwangju, and the wider South Jeolla province.
As a gesture of support, Kim assured that Jeju Air would provide assistance to the families during this difficult time. The airline is committed to cooperating with the authorities and offering any necessary aid to the affected individuals and communities.
