CRYSTAL Palace left-back Jeffrey Schlupp has admitted he is enjoying life at Celtic and is open to the possibility of returning to Parkhead after his loan deal runs out in the summer.
The 32-year-old was outstanding for the Scottish champions during their 3-0 win over Hearts at Parkhead this afternoon and underlined once again why supporters have taken him to their hearts.
Brendan Rodgers revealed after the final whistle that he believes Greg Taylor, whose current contract runs out at the end of the 2024/25 campaign and who has failed to reach an agreement on an extension, will move on at the end of the season.
Ghanian internationalist Schlupp confessed that he would seriously consider playing for the Scottish champions on a full-time basis if he is offered that opportunity.

“I am happy with what I am doing,” he said. “The gaffer is giving me minutes which is important for me. I am just happy to be playing. I knew I was coming into a very successful team and I think I have settled in very well. I have been made welcome straight away.
“I am loving it at the minute. Regarding next season nothing has been spoken about. I am concentrating on this season, getting more minutes winning more games. But everything is a possibility. I just focus on winning games and then hopefully I can finish off the season strongly.
“I had to think seriously about coming here in the first place. Anything that happens in the summer will be a big decision for me. We will see what happens.

“As I have said a number of times, I have absolutely loved being here. The performances have shown that, I think.”
Meanwhile, the 32-year-old has compared Celtic striker Daizen Maeda, who took his club tally for the season to 30 with a first half double in the win over Hearts, to his former Leicester City team mate Jamie Vardy.

“Whenever you have got someone like Daizen up front he is always a threat,” he said. “We always try and get work the ball through the lines to get him some passes in behind and today he got a couple of goals which was great for us.
“He is on fire. Credit to him and to the team as well because we are providing him with the chances that he is putting away. You can see how hard he works out there. He doesn’t leave anything in the tank and it is showing, the quality.
“He is class, he makes a lot of things easier for us. Sometimes when you are in a bit of trouble you can put a ball in an area and he is going to get on to it. It is always great to know you have somebody like that. We like to pass the ball and having someone with that threat up top is great for us.
“Vards and him have very similar games, yeah. He is another workhorse who can turn an average ball into a great ball which is what Daizen does. Hopefully he can keep it going.”
