Jeff Goldblum has opened up about what it's like being a new dad at 70-years-old.
The actor is married to 39-year-old Emilie Livingston, with the pair having a 30 year age gap.
The couple have two children together, Charlie, seven and River, five.
Jeff has talked about how it finds it being a dad at this age, calling it 'fun' but says it doesn't come without its challenges.
He said they can be 'like feral creatures unleashed', however he said they can also be 'sweet and amazing'.
In the past he has said he didn't think he would get the chance to become a dad before he met his wife.
Discussing fatherhood, Jeff told Today : "It's amazing, it’s revivifying, and makes my relationship with Emilie, frankly, enhanced. Seeing [my wife] in this new role is unbelievable. She's heroic beyond imagination."
He went on to talk about the more difficult side to parenthood, saying: "And it's challenging and it's sometimes maddening and very volatile. As you know, at 3 and 5, 5 and 7 they can be like feral creatures unleashed. Oh yeah, and sweet and amazing. It's great."
Speaking to the Radio Times, Jeff said he hadn't envisioned becoming a dad.
"I never thought that I was going to do it," he said. "I had never been particularly passionate [about fatherhood] or envisioned it for myself."
Despite saying he thought he could be judged for being an older dad, he said he thinks it's happened 'right on schedule'.
Talking about not being around as long for his children, Jeff added: "It's not that it doesn't occur to me. I would not want to say goodbye to them prematurely."
Emilie is best known for being a professional athlete and former Olympian, having qualified as a rhythmic gymnast in 2000.
She and Jeff first met in 2011 before announcing their engagement in July 2014
They then went on to tie the knot and at the famed Chateau Marmont hotel in Los Angeles on November 8, 2014.
Since then, they had two sons together Charlie Ocean in 2015 and River Joe in 2017.
Announcing the birth of their first child, Jeff wrote: "We’re so excited to share the wonderful news of the birth of our son, Charlie Ocean Goldblum, born on the 4th of July. Independence Day."
Jeff first found fame when he played Seth Brundle in David Cronenberg's The Fly (1986), which earned him a Saturn Award for Best Actor.
