Sony has announced the PS Plus Essential June 2023 lineup and it includes Basketball, samurai, and Jeff Goldblum, the three pillars of any good lineup.
The PS Plus Essential June 2023 lineup has been officially announced before the lineup is set to arrive next Tuesday, June 6 and is headlined by the dino themed park builder Jurassic World Evolution 2. The game is developed by Frontier Developments, the studio best known for its work on the phenomenal Rollercoaster Tycoon series and more recently Planet Coaster and Planet Zoo (and Wallace & Gromit in Project Zoo, which isn't a park management game, but it's a banger), so clearly it's in good hands.
Jurassic World Evolution 2 brings in some familiar faces from the eponymous film series to help with your Jurassic Park management; namely, Jeff Goldblum and Bryce Dallas Howard who reprise their roles as Dr Ian Malcom and Claire Dearing respectively.
You know what pairs well with dinosaurs though? Basketball of course (just check out that Godzilla vs Charles Barkley comic). NBA 2K23 also arrives on PS Plus this month. NBA 2K23 brings that classic 2K gameplay, with this year's entry bringing back the classic Jordan Challenge mode that hasn't been seen since NBA 2K11. This mode transports you back to the early 80s to retell the rise of Basketball legend and Tune Squad alumni Michael Jordan.
Finally there's Flying Wild Hog's samurai title Trek to Yomi, which is a hard as nails sidescroller which pays homage to legendary director Akira Kurosawa with its unique visual aesthetic.
