Jeff Brazier says family is ‘pulling together’ amid legal dispute with Jade Goody’s mum Jackiey Budden

Jeff Brazier has spoken about how his family is staying united during a difficult period as he faces legal proceedings involving Jade Goody’s mother, Jackiey Budden.

The TV presenter, 45, shares two sons — Strictly Come Dancing finalist Bobby, 21, and Freddy, 20 — with the late reality star Jade, who died from cervical cancer in 2009 at just 27.

Last month, it was reported that Brazier had taken legal steps to block contact between Freddy and Jackiey, citing concerns over his son’s wellbeing.

Now appearing on BBC’s Pilgrimage, where he embarks on a reflective journey alongside other celebrities, Brazier opened up about how his family is coping through the ordeal.

"All we really know how to do is to pull together and be there for one another… and I think that's what we do best, and that's what all good families do," he told The Mirror.

While he did not directly address the ongoing legal case, Brazier shared that Freddy is currently in “a really good place,” adding: "I was really proud of him, and it's wonderful to just watch him grow in experience."

The father and son are also set to co-host a special segment of This Morning from Malta — a career highlight that left Brazier feeling proud and emotional.

Brazier is believed to have instructed a top barrister ahead of a forthcoming hearing. The legal row marks the latest chapter in his long-standing feud with Jackiey Budden.

His interview comes after Jackiey spoke out amid her reported legal dispute with Brazier.

The former Shipwrecked star is said to be seeking to block contact between model Freddie, 20, and his maternal grandmother Jackiey— the mother of the late Big Brother star.

An insider has claimed their relationship has been “detrimental to his wellbeing.”

In light of the dispute, Jackiey broke her silence last week and said she wants to see her grandson.

MailOnline reported that Jackiey, speaking from her Bermondsey home, said: “I know what this is all about. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter.

“Do I want to see Freddy? Of course I do. I see Freddy all of the time. I will see him.”

Jackiey has previously hit out at Brazier calling him a “c**k” after sneaking into the O2 Arena to watch grandson Bobby win his first National Television Award.

She admitted they have never liked each other but insisted she has always been there for her grandsons.

The reported legal move comes 16 years after Jade died from cervical cancer at the age of 27, when Freddie was four and his brother, EastEnders actor Bobby, was five.

A source close to the family told The Sun: “This is something Jeff and anyone who cares about Freddy hopes will help keep Freddy safe from a relationship that has been incredibly detrimental to his wellbeing for a long time now.

“The fact that he is going down this route shows how concerned we all are and how our efforts to keep Fred safe are being grossly undermined by other people.”
