Jeff Brazier is reportedly hoping to mend his broken heart with a new romance this year.
Last month, Jeff, 43, announced he had split from his wife Kate Dwyer after nine years together.
The proud dad took to social media to share a picture of himself smiling as he revealed the life-altering news.
Jeff, who shared two sons with the late reality star Jade Goody, tied the knot with Kate in 2018 with his boys acting as best men on the happy occasion.
Following his marriage split, Jeff's close pals have rallied around the star, and have reportedly all vowed to enjoy several 'boys nights out' with the dad-of-two in the hopes that he may find love again.
"His mates have made an agreement to have some supportive lads' nights out together, as Jeff really wants to start the new year with a a new romance," a source told Heat.
"He's hopeful about finding someone to share his life with eventually, but he just wants to make sure it's the right person," they added.
Posting his marriage split announcement on Instagram, Jeff opened up about a 'challenging' year as he penned: "A moment to practice what I preach and start the new week with honesty. One for the smilers and eternally positive individuals who don’t often afford themselves the right to share their own vulnerabilities.
"I have so much to be grateful for and I appreciate facing the lessons I need to grow but this year has been challenging to say the least. My 9 year relationship ended earlier in the year and I’ve been working through that on top of supporting someone close to me who is going through something difficult."
Jeff went on: "The boys and I have recently moved home to a new area and I spend most of the time alone as the boys obviously have their own things going on. It’s been constant change this year and I’m good with adapting but the combination of things have left me low at times and I’ve honestly never felt loneliness like it.
"I have lots of great friends and I know they’re a phone call away but sometimes I find it hard to admit I’m struggling with all of the change preferring just to keep working through it myself. I’m a bit too good at that."
"There was always going to come a day when the boys didn’t want or need me so much and I thought I’d be more than ok with having all this time on my hands."
Jeff has been the person raising Bobby, 19, and Freddie, 18, after their mother Jade Goody died from cancer.
Jade passed away in March 2009.
