During a rally in Tucson, Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance took aim at Vice President Harris for her recent comments on 'The View.' Vance played a clip of Harris stating that she couldn't think of anything she would do differently than President Biden, adding a voiceover saying, 'I’m Donald Trump and I approve this message.'

Vance, known for his criticism of the current administration, reiterated his disapproval of Harris' remarks during a previous event in Detroit. At the Tucson Speedway, Vance proudly claimed credit for the idea to include the Trump voiceover in the clip.

While expressing concern for those affected by Hurricane Milton, Vance continued to criticize the administration for what he perceived as incompetence in responding to Hurricane Helene. He specifically targeted the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), falsely accusing them of misusing funds allocated for natural disaster relief to house migrants.

It's important to note that Congress allocated $650 million in the 2024 fiscal year to fund a program assisting state and local governments in housing migrants. This money was designated for US Customs and Border Protection to transfer to FEMA for administration, separate from FEMA's disaster relief funds.

Vance urged Republicans to utilize early voting and mail-in ballots, despite previous disparagement of these methods by former President Trump and his campaign. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that FEMA prioritizes American citizens in times of disaster.
