The Utah Jazz showed the Detroit Pistons no mercy on Thursday night.
Utah, which played without four of its best players, defeated Detroit, 119—111, handing the Pistons their 25th consecutive loss, three defeats short of the NBA record. But that’s not all the shorthanded Jazz did.
As if losing 25 straight games wasn’t bad enough, the Jazz decided to rub in the loss a little bit more after the fact.
Utah’s social media team had a little fun at the expense of the Pistons, roasting the woeful team with a clever post on TikTok. Check it out.
The Utah Jazz used our graphic about the Pistons being favored in their postgame TikTok making fun of them 🤣💀😭

In a reference to the Nickelodeon show SpongeBob Squarepants, the Jazz, much like SpongeBob did to Patrick, asked the Pistons what was funnier than 24, then posted a screen shot of the score of Thursday’s game. Utah also made sure to remind Detroit that the Pistons were favored by oddsmakers leading up the game. Just cold.
Pistons fans, who filled Little Caesars Arena with “Sell the Team!” chants as the final seconds ticked down on the loss, apparently are fed up with Deeee-troit basketball at the moment.
Now they have to deal with opposing teams making a mockery of them on social media.
