The late, great Kobe Bryant was famously almost a Boston Celtic before he started his professional career, and Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum paid tribute to the NBA legend ahead of the first game for this year’s finals.

Tatum, a noted Bryant fan, wore the same kind of vintage Celtics shirt that Bryant wore for his workout with Boston all those years ago.

This is a really cool moment where the past and present come full circle, as the Tatum tries to win his first title with the Celtics.

We bet Bryant loves seeing this homage as Tatum honors one of the all-timer greats while trying to forge his own legacy in the 2024 NBA Finals.
