Star Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum shocked fans as he talked about his love for playing in Boston after the Celtics sent the Philadelphia 76ers packing in Game 7 of their Eastern Conference semis series with their Atlantic Division foes.
The St. Louis native has been a key player for the Celtics and has become the franchise player in Boston but it hasn’t always been an open love affair between Tatum and Boston fans. At least not until this past Sunday, May 14th, when the Celtics eliminated the Sixers in the wake of a historic, 51-point outing from Tatum, the most anyone has ever scored in a Game 7.
In this postgame press conference, Tatum shares his thoughts on what makes Boston such a great city for basketball and why he enjoys playing for the Celtics and performing for Celtics fans.
Take a look at the clip embedded above to see how the crew of the CLNS Media “Garden Report” podcast reacted to Tatum’s massive game and his professed love of the city afterward.
