Jayson Tatum is cementing his status as a top-five player with the Boston Celtics this season

Is it fair to say that superstar Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum has finally cracked the elite of the elite in the NBA to become a consensus top-five player in the league?

Having picked right back up to where he left off at the end of the 2021-22 season instead of taking his time to round into elite form over the course of a campaign, the St. Louis native has also added an increased ability to get to the rim, draw fouls, and on the other end of the court, defend as well as anyone on a squad with several perennial Defensive Players of the Year candidates.

Is all that enough to count him among the top 1% of the NBA’s talent structure?

The hosts of CLNS Media’s “Celtics Beat” podcast were recently joined by NBC Sports Boston’s Abby Chin to talk over where we ought to rank the Duke product in the league this season.

Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear what they had to say.
