Jaylen Brown outplayed Luka Doncic in the Boston Celtics win over the Dallas Mavericks

For whatever reason, the usual late-game dread typically experienced by fans of the Boston Celtics when facing the Dallas Mavericks and Luka Doncic that Doncic might be able to steal a win from the Celtics never seemed to materialize. That star Celtics forward Jaylen Brown was simply terrorizing the Slovenian superstar on defense was no small part of the reason why.

The 39 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks put up by All-NBA swingman Jayson Tatum were also a big reason why this game felt in Boston’s control in their first tilt with the Mavs of the season.

With four players scoring in double figures vs. Dallas, it was a great end for the Celtics’ Texas two-step after beating the Houston Rockets on the road the night before.

NBC Sports Boston’s Chris Mannix, Brian Scalabrine and Drew Carter joined Amina Smith after the game to talk about the Boston win on “Celtics Postgame Live”. Check it out above!
