Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum make Boston Celtics history with consecutive 30-point games

Star wings Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum made Boston Celtics history with consecutive 30-point games after the duo did it against the Sacramento Kings on Friday night, only to do it again in a trouncing of the Denver Nuggets this past Sunday.

A rare feat in the history of the NBA itself, it has only been done a handful of times, and it has only happened with the Celtics once before Sunday night. A pair of teammates we think you might have heard of — Hall of Fame forwards Larry Bird and Kevin McHale — did it for Boston way back in 1998, and it has not happened in green and white since (or for that matter, before).

The folks over at ESPN put together a video highlighting their play against the Nuggets that saw them drop 60 points on 23-of-36 shooting, including a lights-out 9-of-16 from beyond the arc.

Watch the clip embedded above to see the dynamic duo put the league on notice with their historic stretch of scoring.
