Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels has been named the FedEx Air Player of the Week for the third time this season. Daniels won the award after his performance against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday when he completed 24 of 39 passes for 258 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions.
Daniels led the game-winning drive with two minutes left, passing for three touchdowns in the final quarter and ending Philadelphia’s 10-game winning streak.
In the process, Washington improved to 10-5 and is close to clinching its first playoff berth since 2020.
Daniels previously won the award for his Week 4 performance against the Arizona Cardinals and Week 8 performance against the Chicago Bears. It was in Week 8 when Daniels completed the “Hail Mary” to Noah Brown, the NFL’s top play of the 2024 season.

Daniels is the favorite for more hardware this week. Daniels is a finalist for the Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week award, which he has already won nine times this season, tying the NFL record set by Ben Roethlisberger in 2004. If Daniels wins the award, he’s the new record-holder.
