Jaycee Horn has experienced some high highs and some low lows in brief three-year NFL career. And unfortunately, he’s going through the latter once again.
The Carolina Panthers cornerback, who left in the middle of last weekend’s regular-season opener due to a hamstring injury, was placed on injured reserve yesterday. Head coach Frank Reich described the setback as “serious” a few days ago and told reporters they’re prepared to be without their top defensive back for an “extended period of time.”

Appreciate everyone who reached out and checked in on me these past few days❤️ It’s a tough time for me right now but I’m gonna keep pushing because I know the storm will eventually end. I will be back soon! #KeepPounding

The 23-year-old, per Joe Person of The Athletic, is also expected to undergo a procedure on the injured hamstring. Horn has already gone under the knife a few times as a pro, after breaking his foot during his rookie season in 2021 and after breaking his wrist towards the end of the 2022.
He has played in 18 of a possible 34 games for Carolina.
