Former Watford boss Javi Gracia is set to return to the Premier League as the new manager of Leeds.

Gracia is in advanced talks with Leeds and is expected to sign a contract that will initially run until the end of this season.

Gracia has been out of work since leaving Qatari club Al Sadd in June but he impressed during his last stint in England with Watford.

The Spaniard spent over 18 months at Vicarage Road and guided Watford to the FA Cup final in 2019.

Gracia was sacked at the start of the following season after three defeats in Watford’s opening four League games.

Following his dismissal, Gracia spent 10 months at Valencia but was sacked after 10 months in May 2021 with his side in the relegation places in LaLiga.
