Leeds United's new head coach Javi Gracia has admitted that he accepted the job at Elland Road because he wants what's best for the Whites, and is there to try and help the club achieve their objective of avoiding relegation.
The Spaniard's contract with the Whites only runs until the end of the season, with the initial objective of his appointment being to simply stay in the Premier League.
Gracia joined the club after a lengthy two-week hiring process in which Michael Skubala helmed the ship as interim boss and despite some decent performances against Manchester United, a defeat to Everton saw Leeds slip into the drop zone for the first time this season.

But the 52-year-old highlighted that for managers, it's never easy to predict where you will end up at the end of a season but noted that he wants what's best for Leeds moving forward.
"You know our situation, it's never easy for the coaches. Maybe you stay for one game or maybe you stay for your whole life, you never know.
"But to be honest, I'm focused. When I accepted the challenge, I accepted because I wanted to be here. I wanted to stay here, to prepare for the [Southampton] game, and to help this team achieve their objective.
"After that objective is reached... who knows? I don't want to be here because I have a contract, I don't want the club to have a difficult situation because they have a coach they don't want in the club."
Gracia then stated that his aim for now is just to start on the right foot and get the players grouped up and get them buying into the club's objective.
"It's better to be focused now for the next game, and it's my objective as well to win one game as soon as possible and try to finish the season with the objective.
"I'm not worried about my future."
