Javi Gracia has admitted it's been hard to find a solution to Tyler Adams' absence due to a lack of options in the holding midfield positions.
Adams underwent surgery on a hamstring injury in March, and has been out of the side for the last five games. The 24-year-old had been a focal point in the team prior to his injury, and had racked up 26 appearances across all competitions.
Weston McKennie and Marc Roca have predominantly partnered each other in the heart of midfield, while Adam Forshaw has recently returned from a long-term injury.

In terms of Adams' recovery, Gracia is still unable to put an exact date on his return, and is still unsure whether he'll feature again this season.
"No if I tell you something I'd be lying [if he knows whether Tyler Adams will play again this season]," Gracia said. "I don't know. He's working hard, and the medical staff are working very well.
"We need time to know if he is ready or not. He's a player that plays in a position where we don't have many other options. Now in the first team squad we have Adam Forshaw, and now he's ready. He was injured long-term.
"It's an absence in an important position. We have young players to play there as well, very good players. Now we don't have the solution for that, we have to work with the players that we have, and believe, as I do, that they are very good players, and they are the best players to play the final [games] of the season."
