Jason Sudeikis had the perfect low-key response to Mitt Romney dressing up as his much-loved character Ted Lasso for Halloween.
Last week, Republican senator for Utah Romney posted a series of tweets of himself dressed as the fictional football coach for the festivities.
The 74-year-old donned a fake moustache and in one GIF he’d created, he was seen handing a box of biscuits to Senator Kyrsten Sinema, much like Lasso’s character does in the fan favourite TV show.

In another image, Romney was dressed as Lasso, again, complete with moustache, and this time wearing a football shirt, holding a football and wearing a whistle around his neck.
He touched a “Believe” sign which is a trademark of Lasso’s character in the show, portrayed by Sudeikis.

Romney even tried to get Sudeikis’s attention by tagging him in a tweet and referencing the time the actor first impersonated him in an episode of Saturday Night Live in 2011.
He wrote: “After 10 years, I’m finally returning the favor. How was my @TedLasso, @JasonSudeikis?”

Unfortunately for Romney, it seems Sudeikis wasn’t all that impressed as he ignored his tweet. But, eagle-eyed Twitter users spotted some subtle shade in the actor’s likes.
Sudeikis liked a tweet that read: “The scariest thing he could think of was kindness.”
