Jason Quigley opens up on his mental health struggles and his burning desire to be a world champion in a new documentary airing on Virgin Media 2 next week.
The Ladbrokes ambassador has never shirked a challenge and stepped up to take on undefeated American Demetrius Andrade last November for the WBO World Middleweight title.
While the Donegal man came up short on the biggest stage, his fight journey is a fascinating one, and he is far from hanging up his gloves.
“I do believe that this is definitely not the end and I do believe that I can become a world champion,” Quigley says.
The Donegal man, 30, also talks candidly about his mental health struggles and how he worked through them with the help of boxing and the support of family and friends.
Hailing from Ballybofey, the documentary gives an insight to his upbringing and on how the origins of his love for the sport stemmed from his father, a former boxer.
Commenting on the programme, Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “The documentary is a must-watch, it is an inspirational story of commitment, dedication and the power of resilience.
"Despite not claiming the title it is evident that is not the last we will hear of Jason Quigley.”
Jason Quigley ‘Lift your Heels’ documentary will air on Virgin Media 2 on Thursday 10 th March at 10.30pm and will be available on the Virgin Media player afterwards.
