Jason Momoa reveals why he is 'really nervous' about DC role

Jason Momoa is feeling 'really nervous' about starring in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow

Jason Momoa is feeling "really nervous" about starring in 'Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow'.

The 45-year-old actor will make a cameo appearance as mercenary and bounty hunter Lobo in the upcoming DC Comics film - which is due for release in 2026 - and while it is a dream role for him, he is still feeling somewhat anxious about how it will all go.

He told ScreenRant: "This is the role I’ve always wanted to play. I mean, that’s the comic I love. I'm really nervous about it.

"It’s kind of a no-brainer to play this character."

Menahwile, the 'Aquaman' star is now appearing as Garrett 'The Garbage Man' Garrison in the new film 'A Minecraft Movie' and just a day ahead of its release on April 4, he teased that the makeup department has managed to make him look "dead-on" like the character from the video game franchise.

He said: "I don’t want to give away too much, but, I mean, we look pretty dead-on–exactly like the character. He’s pretty rough, and the bike’s really cool.”

Jason stars alongside fellow Hollywood actor Jack Black in the film, and as he takes on the character of Steve from the sandbox video game, he admitted that he cannot pick a favourite from all the roles he has played throughout his career.

Jack - who has starred in hits such as 'School of Rock', 'Nacho Libre' and 'Kung Fu Panda' explained: "I do anything that I think is a great story. I don’t care if it’s a sequel or a new piece of material … I just love to work with great artists. [If] there’s a great director, a great script, then I will party with that. Don’t make me choose one of my babies."

The actor recently insisted that a movie based on 'Minecraft' is just what the world "needs" to help combat the "violence and war and hatred" that is going on.

He told The Hollywood Reporter: "What the world needs now is love, sweet love. We’ve got to work together, my God.

"There’s so much violence and war and hatred. And that’s what I love about this movie - there’s a lot of love in it and there’s a lot of creativity.

"There is some anger and violence too, but in the end it’s about friendship and working together to make [the world] a better place."
