New ITV show Starstruck has brought a taste of nostalgia to Saturday nights.
The talent contest, which sees super-fans transform into their idols, is being likened to the hit 90s and noughties Granada series Stars In Their Eyes.
Starstruck, judged by Queen frontman Adam Lambert, soul singer Beverley Knight, award-winning singer and actress Sheridan Smith and Salford comedian and West End star Jason Manford, has look-alike and sound-alikes competing in teams as they transform into the world’s biggest music icons.

The opening show, which is hosted by Olly Murs, featured Teams Freddie Mercury, Ariana Grande, Marvin Gaye and Lady Gaga.
The winning trios from each show then compete against each other for a place in the grand final and the chance to walk away with £50,000.
As many viewers settled back in their sofas to watch, they took to Twitter to point out that something seemed to be wrong with the sound, complaining that it sounded 'tinny.'
One fan said the judges sounded like they were 'in a tunnel.'
As Jason chatted with fans on Twitter about the show, @TardisPilot1 askedL "Why is the sound so bad @JasonManford?"
And he jokingly clapped back with a crying laughing emoji: "Your telly is s*** Paul."
But @marpster agreed: "Sound is iffy, singers are ok and opening number too. Judges speaking have an echo, but Olly's mic is worst."
@ginger_tabbie said: "Great start #Starstruck but honestly @ITV you need to sort the sound, something is not right."
@MattieBoy92 asked: "Why are all the sound levels off for #Starstruck."
@ItsAndyPayne tweeted: "Sound is a bit tinny for me, not sure what’s going on."
@Darker_Horse wondered: "Is it my telly, or has the sound gone funny? #Starstruck."
@paulymcwarly complained: "The sound quality on #Starstruck is horrendous! Judges sound like they are in a tunnel! @ITV."
But the show is already proving popular.
@MrsHouse09 tweeted: "Loving #Starstruck .... brilliant Saturday night TV!"
@AngelAnneKnight said: "Omg I love this show already."
And @Foxy05 tweeted: "Gotta say @JasonManford I’m truly loving #Starstruck so far.
"This is what Saturday night tv should be. Pure fun, laughter, talent and great music!!"
