Jason Kelce perfectly mocked Harrison Butker after Travis Kelce’s defense of Chiefs teammate

Anyone who wanted Travis Kelce to come right out and condemn Harrison Butker in the strongest terms after the Kansas City Chiefs kicker’s misogynistic and sexist commencement speech at Benedictine College in Kansas may be disappointed with the latest episode of the tight end’s New Heights podcast.

Kelce finally addressed the Butker controversy but chose not to call out his teammate, instead opting for the everyone-is-entitled-to-their-own-beliefs route that Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid took.

While Kelce stated that he did not agree with what Butker said, he tried to share more about the type of the person he’s gotten to know over the last several years in KC.

Take a listen:

“I cherish him as a teammate. I think Pat said it best where he is every bit of a great person and a great teammate. He’s treated friends and family that I’ve introduced to him with nothing but respect and kindness. And that’s how he treats everyone. When it comes down to his views and what he said at [Benedictine College] commencement speech, you know, those are his. I can’t say I agree with the majority of it or just about any of it outside of just him loving his family and his kids. I don’t think I should judge him by his views, especially his religious views, about how to go about life. That’s just not how I am.”

Kelce went on to discuss how both his mother and father were “homemakers and providers” during their childhood. And just when it seemed like they were ready to move on from the topic, Travis’ brother Jason came in with a comment from the top rope that broke Travis:

Travis’ reaction here pretty much says more than his actual comments did. So take that for what it’s worth.
