Power Rangers actor Jason David Frank has died at the age of 49.
The talented actor played Green Ranger Tommy Oliver on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
His agent, Brian Butler-An, confirmed the tragic news on Instagram on Sunday with a gushing tribute to the late star.
The actor's cause of death has not yet been confirmed but reports by US site TMZ claims the actor took his own life.
Frank was one of the most consistently preset cast members throughout the franchise, appearing in 10 series and four movies.
While he primarily portrayed the role of the Green Ranger, he later went on to embody the White, Black and Red Rangers in the series.
The popular show has run since the early 1990's and is still producing episodes today, with the latest series dropping this September.
Although acting was his first passion, Jason was also an accomplished martial artist.
He was an 8th degree black belt and was even inducted into the Black Belt Hall of Fame a number of years ago.
The actor also had a short MMA stint back in 2010.
Following the news of the actor's sad death, fans and famous friends alike have flocked to pay tribute to the Power Rangers icon.
His friend and trainer, Mike Bronzoulis penned: “Jason was a good friend to me and I will miss him. Love n prayers for his wife Tammy and their kids, I pray that God gets you all through this difficult time.”
YouTube star Mighty Keef tweeted: "Jason David frank and Kevin Conroy gone in the same month bro."
While another fan shared: "Power Rangers was my first major obsession as a child, and some of my earliest memories are watching Mighty Morphin and Dino Thunder starring Jason David Frank. Rest in peace to an absolute legend who made generations of kids dream and aspire to be just as heroic as him."
