Jarrod Bowen wants to make more history with West Ham after equalling a club record with a goal against Anderlecht.

The forward has now scored six times in European competition for the club, joining names carved deep into West Ham folklore.

Only Johnny Byrne and David Cross have scored as many as the 25-year-old and Bowen’s strike proved crucial in ensuring David Moyes’ side qualified for the Europa Conference League knockout stages.

Said Benrahma had earlier opened the scoring for the home side, who dominated all evening but were forced to see out a nervy final few minutes after Ben Johnson conceded a penalty, which was duly converted by the felled Sebastiano Esposito.

After a slow start to the season, Bowen has scored three goals in as many games and believes his standing as England international has put more pressure on him to perform, one he’s all too happy to deal with.

“It’s good, I want to be on the records,” he told BT Sport.

“We want to go far in these European competitions and scoring goals helps that.

“People look at me differently now... I’ve established myself and played for my country, so there is a different expectation and pressure to deliver."
