The Cleveland Browns are going to be a central topic of the NFL this season. They have been much of the offseason as the pursuit and acquisition of QB Deshaun Watson was the biggest story of the offseason.
Whichever team acquired Watson would have gotten a lot of attention given his 22 civil cases but the Browns were unique given Baker Mayfield’s presence on the roster.
Outside of the quarterbacks, however, the team is still quite interesting. Last year, with Mayfield limited due to injury and COVID, the team leaned on their offense line, run game and strong defense.
Manager Editor of the Browns Wire Jared Mueller joined 92.3 The Fan Monday morning to talk about where the team sits currently. Topics discussed included:
- David Njoku’s extension
- Trusting the team’s receivers
- Free agents that are still available
- Team’s defense including building on the strong finish to the 2021 season
