On December 11, we reported that the Appeal Court had suggested that Liverpool lawyer Janine Doolan could have committed a criminal offence after allegedly swapping texts with a convicted city gangster in 2009.
The Appeal Court amended its judgement on December 15 and withdrew this suggestion.
Ms Doolan has also asked us to point out that her suspension from her role as a partner at leading Liverpool firm DDE Law was unconnected with this matter and she has now resigned.
